Parish Evangelisation Cell System (PECS)
National website for England

WHAT IS THE PARISH EVANGELISATION CELL SYSTEM?
PECS is a method of Parish-based evangelisation that
operates in small groups that meet weekly or fortnightly in people's homes.
They are called cell groups because cells in the human body are living, vibrant, multiplying units. They are programmed to multiply or die and so it is with cell groups.
The system is a Vatican-approved formally recognised entity within the Catholic Church.

New Vatican publication: Parish at the service of evangelisation
The Vatican’s Congregation for the Clergy releases a new document to help guide the reform of parish communities. It is entitled “The pastoral conversion of the Parish community in the service of the evangelizing mission of the Church.”

“Do not be afraid of the new, and do not allow inevitable difficulties to slow down your pace on the path of evangelization: when you are a missionary disciple, enthusiasm can never fail!”
(Pope Francis, 18 November 2019)
